We are so pleased to announce our amazing 2021 Ride Ambassador - Abby Armas! You will be seeing this sweet little face in all of our Charity Motorcycle Ride materials, and we could not have chosen a more perfect candidate to be the face of this event!
Abby will be taking pictures and doing videos leading up to the event, which we will then post on this page (her page!). Be sure to read more about Abby and her journey with Lansdowne below. A special thanks to both Abby and her Mom Angie for participating and donating your time in a big way!
Abigail (who goes by Abby), is an 11 year old living in Paris, Ontario with her mother Angie. Abby’s favorite season is the Winter and she really loves anything to do with Arts and Music.
Abby currently attends and enjoys all the Recreation programs at Lansdowne, and these programs help her to gain independence, work on her social skills and build new and lasting friendships. Lansdowne has been involved in Abby and Angie’s lives since 2017 when Abby was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Angie has been pleased that as a parent she has received great support as well.
Some supports they have benefited from are the assistance from one of our Social Workers, access to a Family Support Group, attending ASD workshops and having the Lansdowne staff help out when having to fill out important paperwork. Abby and Angie are very grateful for all the support Lansdowne provides to Abby and their family. And we are grateful for Abby.
If you would like to support Abby in her fundraising goal, click here to donate! Every pledge or donation, no matter how big or small, makes a huge difference to the children and youth at Lansdowne Children's Centre. Thank you for your consideration!
